Albirex Niigata FC Singapore had a S-League soccer match against Warriors FC at the Jurong East Stadium. This was a significant match for both teams, as a win for either team would propel them to the top of the S-League table. League position before the match: Albirex (1st), Warriors (2nd). The Warriors were strong throughout the night, and eventually they won 4-0 at the end of the game.

In Dec 2014, the Handball Federation of Singapore held the Singapore Handball Open Tournament 2014. Overseas participants from countries such as Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Uzbekistan were invited to compete in the Tournament.
